This series blends photography with alchemy—metals like gold, gold leaf, copper, silver foil, and richly pigmented paints.

But these are not ordinary women.
They are Makers, Menders, Mothers of imagined worlds.
Founders of dreamscapes, born from both vision and structure.

The ornamentation in each piece is rooted in scientific theories—concepts I know intimately, not just from art but from the field I was trained in, before I went into art. These theories are part of me 🙂

THE MAKERS

For eight years, I worked on this album – Gold, metal, mix media work. Over eight years, I brought four women to life, not as characters, but as makers. They were born in my world, shaped by my hands, imagination, and personal experience. Each one carries a piece of my real life within her.The woman has always been my muse.
But in this work, she is more than a muse.
She is mother. Creator. Shadow and spark.
She is the origin of the beginning.These women: the Makers, create from the darkness, just as life itself begins in the dark. From the unseen, the tangible emerges.The woman is not only inspiration, but source.
In the real world, too, she is a maker – in her own way, in her own form.The Makers is a tribute to her.
To the woman who carries.
To the woman who shapes.
To the woman who makes.
